Whenever I’m restocking our art shelves for a new term, Stockmar liquid watercolours are always the first thing in my basket. Unlike standard paints that sit flat on the page, these transparent, luminous pigments have a quiet magic of their own.

Because we use the wet-on-wet technique—damping the paper first and letting the colours bleed together—every painting session feels alive. My son loves watching primary blues and yellows drift into each other to make living greens without ever getting muddy.

Sculpting Dragon Eyes in Our Home Ed Art Class!
